This directory is continually updated to accommodate the growing need of non-profit as well as government organizations for local citizens' participation in various areas of public service. If you are a student in search of extra-curricular activities or needing to satisfy graduation requirements, this may be the fast route to getting on track now. If you are a participant in CalWORKs Community Service program - this resource is ideal for you! Under this program, you get credit for your hours of participation in community service to satisfy the CalWORKs participation requirements. Review the opportunities that range from being involved in your children’s extracurricular activities to being trained for a specific skill that can become your future occupation. You may propose your choice of volunteer work to your CalWORKs Case Manager and, when appropriate at this time, request for a referral to the CalWORKs Community Service activity. |

This initiative supports your service delivery and program objectives just as it encourages community involvement n the part of the general public.
